๐ Abstract
Dictionaries are indispensable tools in linguistic studies and community language maintenance. They play a crucial role in education, language preservation, and standardization. In today's digital age, online dictionaries offer a more interactive and enriched learning experience compared to traditional printed versions. This paper details the development process of an online dictionary for แปrแป, a language spoken in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Through qualitative descriptive methods, data was collected from native speakers, transcribed, translated, and supplemented with audio and visual aids. The dictionary was constructed on the Living Dictionaries platform, a web portal dedicated to preserving endangered languages. The study reveals that modern digital resources enable linguists and communities to create online dictionaries at minimal cost, contributing to the survival and promotion of แปrแป and serving as a blueprint for other minority languages.
