Visually impaired people face numerous difficulties in their basic daily life activities. technological interventions are used to help them to meet these challenges. However, the benefits of these technologies are not fully reachable for the visually impaired in the Arabic community. In this project we aim to use deep learning technology to help visually impaired users detect and recognize different objects. Additionally, the commands are given vocally as well as the output which enables users to better understand their surroundings. A dataset of objects gathered from daily scenes is created to apply the required recognition such as Chairs, Mobile phones, etc. The proposed method for the blind aims at expanding possibilities for them to achieve their full potential. Using You Only Look Once algorithm (YOLO) for object detection in a video stream. In addition, voice feedback using text-to-speech (TTS) in the Arabic language will be used to make it easier for the blind to get information about objects.
