πŸ“ Abstract
Medical students frequently experience considerable academic, clinical, and interpersonal pressures that may contribute to psychological stress and negatively affect their well-being and academic functioning. Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation is a contemplative practice emphasizing self-awareness, positive thinking, inner peace, and emotional stability, and may provide a complementary approach to stress management. The present review examines the impact of Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation on stress management among medical students. Relevant empirical studies, review articles, and scholarly literature concerning Rajyoga meditation, meditation-based stress management, and student psychological well-being were examined. The reviewed evidence suggests that regular Rajyoga practice may help reduce perceived stress by promoting relaxation, selfawareness, emotional regulation, positive cognitive orientation, and adaptive coping. These potential benefits may be particularly relevant for medical students who face demanding academic schedules, examinations, clinical training, and performance-related pressures. However, direct research specifically examining Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga among medical students remains limited, and existing studies vary in sample characteristics, intervention duration, and research methodology. Further randomized controlled and longitudinal studies using validated stress measures are needed to establish the effectiveness and long-term benefits of Rajyoga meditation in this population. Overall, Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation appears to be a promising complementary approach for supporting stress management and psychological well-being among medical students.
