π Abstract
Popular culture is a powerful force that shapes social values, identities, and everyday practices in the contemporary digital era. With the expansion of global media platforms and communication technologies, young working professionals are increasingly exposed to diverse cultural forms that influence their attitudes and perceptions. This study examines the impact of popular culture on society and identity formation among corporate employees aged 18β25 working at HCL Technologies. Using a survey-based quantitative research design, the study analyses respondentsβ engagement with films, music, social media, and streaming platforms. The findings suggest that popular culture is perceived both as a reflection of existing social norms and as an active force influencing values, beliefs, and social behaviour. While respondents recognise its role in promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and cultural exchange, they also acknowledge its tendency to reinforce stereotypes and commercial ideologies. The study highlights the complex and dual role of popular culture in shaping identity and social attitudes, contributing to ongoing discussions on media influence, globalization, and cultural change in modern society.
